Development Team Background
As a non-profit, the success of BPC depends on the ability of the organization to secure funding for its individual initiatives and the organization as a whole. We have a number of diverse foundation, individual and corporate donors. As BPC continues to grow, the development team is continually looking to expand our existing funding resources and establish relationships with new fundraising prospects.
The development intern will aid BPC development team in the day-to-day activities of fundraising, and will work closely with BPC development team, as well as members of BPC’s project areas. Specific duties include researching funding prospects, including new foundations, individuals and corporations; data entry; organizational and planning assistance with meetings; and other office duties as assigned. Specific upcoming projects include Civic Health, National Security, and Financial Regulatory Reform. The development intern will gain experience and knowledge of the myriad components needed to sustain a solid, successful non-profit organization.
