A year ago, following the failed Christmas day airliner bomb plot, Yemen was referred to as the "next Afghanistan." Today, with a wave of political transformation seizing the region, it might become the next Egypt. NSP released an updated case study, Fragility and Extremism in Yemen, and an expert panel discussed the complex dynamics of poor governance and terrorism at play in the country, the state of U.S. counter-terrorism strategy and prospects for political change.

Workshop Three focused on local, state, regional, and federal policy options to accommodate the expected power sector transition.
