The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) Homeland Security Project Co-chairs former Governor Thomas Kean and former Representative Lee Hamilton presided over the release of the first in an annual series of threat assessment reports. The report provides a comprehensive review of al-Qaeda and its affiliates, as well as other homegrown extremists who may target U.S. interests, and provides recommendations to lawmakers and government officials on how best to counter the threat and protect the homeland.
