BPC Board Member and Transportation Project Director Speak at IBTTA Summit

The International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) hosted its 2008 Transportation Finance Summit in Washington, DC.

Jane Garvey, Head of US Public-Private Partnerships in Transportation at J.P. Morgan and former FAA Administrator, spoke at the CFO Roundtable about the "View from Washington: Emerging Threats, Challenges and Opportunities." Ms. Garvey is also a member of the Bipartisan Policy Center's Board of Directors.

BPC's Director of Transportation Policy Emil Frankel spoke on a panel entitled "Funding America's Future Surface Transportation System: A Roundtable Discussion."

The panel was moderated by Karen Hedlund from Nossaman, LLP. Other panelists included Robert Atkinson, PhD, President of the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation; Jack Basson, Director of Management and Business Development, American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials; Jordi Graells, Managing Director of Toll Roads, North America and International, Abertis Infraestructuras SA; Frank McArdle, Senior Advisor, General Contractors Association of New York; and Robert Puentes, Senior Fellow and Director, Metropolitan Infrastructure Initiative, Brooking Institution’s Metropolitan Policy Program.
