BPC's January Events

After a short break for the holidays, BPC is back with a great lineup of events on a variety of topics. Here’s a list of what to look out for in January as we kick off another great year of bipartisanship.

Join us today for “Ukraine at the Crossroads: Democracy, Geopolitics, Economics and Energy.” BPC will take a look at how recent issues are interacting to drive events in Ukraine, how the U.S. and E.U. should react and what the implications will be for E.U. and U.S. interests in the longer-term. The event will feature the former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Steven Pifer, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the U.S. Ryszard Schnepf, Ambassador Paula Dobriansky and Yaroslav Brisiuck. The national Press Club’s Peter Hickman will moderate.

The fourth and final installment in our New Geopolitics series, originally scheduled for January 23, has been postponed. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for a rescheduled date.

Our Immigration Task Force will travel outside the Beltway twice in January. On January 23, Secretaries Michael Chertoff, Henry Cisneros, and Condoleezza Rice will come together in Palo Alto for a conversation on immigration’s implications for demographics, economics and the future of U.S. national security. A week later on January 30, Governors Haley Barbour and Edward Rendell will headline a panel at the University of Pennsylvania Law School on the implications of immigration reform for local Pennsylvania communities and the nation as a whole.
