BPC at the Conventions: Priorities. Policies. Solutions.
The Bipartisan Policy Center, in partnership with the Milken Institute, hosted a series of policy forums at both national political conventions.
We gathered a diverse group of business and political leaders to provide insights on how the next president and Congress can make progress in 2017 and beyond. The discussions hit on entrepreneurship and economic growth, global competitiveness and tax policy, and medical and health innovation.
Speakers at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland included House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI), Sen. David Perdue (R-GA), EY Global Chairman and CEO Mark Weinberger, Pfizer Chief Medical Officer Freda Lewis-Hall, and CNBC Contributor Larry Kudlow.
We were joined in Philadelphia for the Democratic National Convention by former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros, BPC Co-Founder and former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, BPC Senior Fellow and former Sen. Byron Dorgan, BPC Senior Fellow and former Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman, and former Rep. Allyson Schwartz.
See below for highlights from both events.
