The 50 Most Moderate Members of the 112th Congress and Their 2012 Prospects

UPDATED: July 31, 2012

As the November congressional elections approach, BPC will be regularly updating the charts below showing the twenty-five most moderate members of both parties in the U.S. House of Representatives and their reelection prospects in 2012. To generate the list of moderates, BPC used the Poole-Rosenthal “Rank Ordering” system, which evaluates Members on a liberal-conservative scale based on voting patterns. Political analyst Charlie Cook’s Cook Political Report “Race Rankings” were used to determine likely November election outcomes.
