Who: Emil Frankel, Visiting Scholar at the Bipartisan Policy Center
What: Reason Foundation releases a new study examining the feasibility of using toll revenues to rebuild and modernize the aging Interstate highway system. Transportation experts from the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association, the American Road and Transportation Builders Association, the Bipartisan Policy Center, and the T2 Group will discuss the report, including the key recommendation that Congress allow toll-financed reconstruction.

The event will take place at the Capitol Visitor Center.

What: Join BPC and Senators Richard Blumenthal and Dan Coats at Iran Sanctions: Tool of Hindrance, a discussion on the role sanctions can play in navigating between seeking a peaceful deal and preventing a nuclear Iran.

Who: Health Innovation Initiative
What: At Building the Information Foundation for Personalized and Genomic Medicine, the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) will bring together leaders from the public and private sectors to engage in a robust policy discussion regarding the information foundation needed for the advancement of personalized and genomic medicine, the barriers that stand in the way of its rapid development, and the policies needed to address those barriers.

Who: Energy Project
What: BPC and NARUC host, GHG Regulation of Existing Power Plants Under the Clean Air Act: What Is It and How Will It Work?, the first workshop, will provide an overview of the context, precedent, and contours of the future GHG regulation of existing power plants. The workshop will feature experts and key stakeholders who will share views on the potential form, contents, and challenges of EPA guidance to states regarding performance standards that represent the “best system of emission reduction” for existing power plants.
