Contact Eileen McMenamin
Eileen McMenamin is vice president of communications for the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC). She heads BPC's communications department and is responsible for the organization's strategic communications, overall messaging, and daily press operation. Prior to joining BPC, she spent three years on Capitol Hill as the communications director for U.S. Senator John McCain, serving as his chief spokesperson and overseeing his Senate press office. McMenamin brings experience and knowledge from both sides of the media-political spectrum, having worked as a political producer for ABC News and CNN, in Washington, D.C., New York and London. As a journalist, McMenamin spent considerable time on the campaign trail, covering the 1996, 2000 and 2004 presidential elections. She also served as a producer for programs such as “Good Morning America,” “Inside Politics with Judy Woodruff,” and “Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer,” and is the recipient of the 2005 DuPont Award for CNN coverage of the tsunami disaster in South Asia. McMenamin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with a minor in psychology from American University in Washington, D.C.
