Brian Collins joined BPC’s Economic Policy Project in September 2012. Prior to joining BPC, Collins worked at eHealth Initiative, a Washington, D.C.-based association that advocates for policies to advance the adoption of health information technology.
Collins earned a Master of Public Policy degree from Oregon State University, where he conducted research on health care reform efforts at the state level. He has worked on political campaigns, including the 2010 re-election of U.S. Rep. Peter DeFazio, staffed an Oregon gubernatorial commission on postsecondary education quality, and has worked as an accountant in the private sector. Collins grew up in Oregon and received a B.S. in business administration, with concentrations in accounting and finance, from Oregon State University.
