Iran’s nuclear weapons program poses an urgent national security threat to the United States. BPC’s Foreign Policy Project has conducted analysis of the growing threat of a nuclear Iran since 2007. Former Senator Charles Robb andd General (ret.) Charles Wald have led a group of prominent bipartisan experts who have developed a comprehensive strategy for preventing a nuclear Iran.

Since 2008, the project’s reports have consistently asserted that a nuclear weapons-capable Iran would be “strategically untenable” for the United States. The initiative’s reports and white papers, published articles and op-eds, and other analyses have recommended a triple-track strategy: simultaneous pursuit of diplomacy, tough sanctions and credible and visible preparations for a military option of last resort.
